Outdoor Rock Climbing Course Series in the Bernese Oberland
Step outside and sign up for our Outdoor Rock Climbing Course Series. You will learn new skills, discover beautiful climbing spots, and find joy in outdoor climbing. You can choose to participate in either one or both weekends to become a confident climber!
This course will be led by Dan Moore, International Mountain Guide. The course will be held in English, but Dan also speaks German if English is not your main language.
What's the plan?
Discover the essentials of outdoor climbing, including equipment, safety procedures, communication, hand-foot climbing techniques, and interpreting guidebooks. In a group setting on single pitch routes, you'll immerse yourself in hands-on practice, maximizing learning, fun, and safety. This introductory course is an ideal starting point for your outdoor climbing journey.
Meet your guide, Dan, at Wilderswil, Bir Müli at 9:50 after a short walk from Hotel Heimat via the artisan Roger’s Bakery, and walk to the crag together. The morning session will focus on familiarizing yourself with equipment, understanding the fundamentals of outdoor climbing, and learning safety rules. In the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to apply what you've learned by hitting the rocks and experiencing firsthand the thrill of outdoor rock climbing.
