Unteriberg and Hoch-Ybrig are well-known for skiing, but the area is also great for snowshoeing. Away from the ski slopes, you’ll find quieter trails and a chance to enjoy the scenery in a more relaxed setting.

This trip is led by Céline Kahn, international mountain leader.

What's the plan?

We meet at 09:15 at Hoch-Ybrig, Talstation Weglosen.

The climb begins along a sledging track through the forest, leading up to the Druesberghütte, where we can pause for a hot drink either on the way up or down. Beyond the hut, the trail becomes quieter, and we’ll likely have it to ourselves. The route to the summit of Fidisberg (1919m) opens up, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks. On the descent, we’ll loop around the Schülberg, allowing us to enjoy a variety of landscapes along the way.

Technical info: 12km - 900m ascent - 900m descent - 7 hours walking

The exact route we take and distance we cover will depend on the snow conditions on the day and the ability of the group.
